Dr. Richie Kroboth Ed.D., NCC, LCMHC
Dr. Kroboth has been involved in human development and high performance for 25 years. He has always been a student of the mental game and after a successful corporate career with a fortune 50 company he started Triangle Performance Consultants. Today, based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, he works with individual athletes, business professionals, teams, coaches, and organizations to realize their performance potential by focusing on the mental game.
Dr. Kroboth earned his Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States and a Master’s degree in Counseling at the East Carolina University. He completed his undergraduate work studying both Psychology and Exercise & Sport Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
Dr. Kroboth's formal education in performance psychology and experience in organizational behavior have fueled a passion in the applied sciences of human performance. His career has afforded him the opportunity to acquire diverse professional experiences and academic training. Combining experience as a Mental Performance Consultant, Licensed Counselor, and Corporate Trainer he has been become an expert on the mental aspects influencing performance. Integrating evidence-based training practices to optimize performance he has accomplished successful outcomes with both individuals and highly competitive, large scale organizations.
Dr. Kroboth has consistently been sought out for the development and implementation of tools and interventions to enhance performance with athletes, individual contributors, teams, as well as organizational leaders. He has had the opportunity to lead multiple teams and coach numerous professionals to foster performance through accountability, resilience, confidence, mastery, motivation, and a focus on excellence. In addition, having worked with athletes of all ages, backgrounds, and sports, he understands the challenges associated with peak performance at an elite level and seeks to help athletes maintain the love they first experienced for their sport while reaching their potential for athletic success.
The goal of his work is to help performers achieve the highest level performance, while thriving in life outside their performance domain. He embraces an approach that fosters strengths in breaking down limitations and elevate people to new potentials. While he specifically focuses on his clients' concerns in order to optimize performance in the identified domain, the skills developed are easily transferable to all areas of their lives. As his clients go through and grow through their sports, careers, and lives, the ultimate goal is to build a complete mental skills toolbox that will help them attain performance excellence and optimal well-being.
